In this authentic video resource, French student Anne-Dauphine talks about what she did at the weekend. The listening worksheet is designed for Foundation level GCSE students. It includes a starter, a comprehension task and a 'trapdoor' or 'mind reader' pair work speaking activity.
Teaching notes, answers and the transcript are also provided.

Review this resourceGood length of clip. Courses also means racing. That would make sense. Also sports centre may also apply to an equestrian centre, she just doesn't specify this. The ambiguity makes more discussion possible from this short clip.

OK, fair enough, no problem. Just to clarify, all these new video resources are unscripted in order to ensure that they are natural and authentic rather than textbook-type recordings. This does mean that the speakers may occasionally say things which are surprising, as that is what real people tend to do! :)

Yes, I realised that just after I submitted the review! Sorry for being dumb. Don't worry about the other query. Thank you.

Hi Patricia, thanks for the feedback. She was talking about swimming races rather than shopping. I will be in touch soon regarding your other query.

I can't use this resource because the reason for going swimming can't be because you like shopping. Why would you go horse riding at a sports centre? And then like stables? This has not enticed me to subscribe to your videos. Please can you make more videos available as samples, so I could get a better idea of the quality you are providing as a paid subscription.

I like the speed of delivery and the length of the clip. Makes it very usable. I didn't think that what she said made total sense - she went swimming because she likes going shopping?
