Why can't I log in?

Forgotten username

If you joined online with an individual account, your username is your email address.

If your department or school has brought a subscription for you and your colleagues, your Head of Department will have given you a list of default logins. The first time you log in with one of these, you'll be asked to personalise it by replacing it with your own email address. Your email address will then become your username.

Forgotten password

No problem. You can create a new password.

Joined as a free member and not received an activation link

Please check your junk email folder for our activation email. If you have not received it, email us at or phone us on 01225 788854.

How do I cancel my subscription?

To cancel your auto-renewal payment, log in and visit the 'My Account' area of the site. Then select 'Cancel my subscription'. You will need to cancel your subscription at least two days before your auto-renewal date to allow us to cancel your payment.

How do I unsubscribe from emails?

If you're a Teachit Languages subscriber or free member, log in and visit the 'My Account' area of the site. Here you can manage all your account details, including changing your newsletter options.

I keep being logged off the site. Why?

When you are logged in, you should see a 'Welcome back' message on top of the menu bar when you move around the site. If you do not see this, then you have been logged out. This is probably to do with how cookies are set up on your web browser. Cookies are small files placed on the hard drive of your computer which store your web preferences.

If you are repeatedly logged out due to your cookie settings, you'll need to change the access in the privacy settings in your internet browser. If you need further help, contact us at or phone us on 01225 788854.
