Strength spotting

A lovely wellbeing resource for younger students, encouraging them to identify their key strength and identify the strengths of classmates too. This resource was written to accompany expert Adrian Bethune's CPD article on Strength spotting. 

An extract from the resource:

Read through the strengths and examples other students have written about you.

Now reflect on these questions and write down your thoughts.

  • What are the top three ‘signature strengths’ that others spotted in you?
  • Are there any strengths that people spotted in you that surprised you? Why?
  • Are there strengths you would like to use more? If so, which ones and why?
  • How do you feel reading about your strengths?
  • Can you think of new ways that you could use your strengths?
