Anyone who follows the #mfltwitterati on Twitter may have seen an amusing tweet this week from @GeorgiaMugridge about the increasing popularity of Spanish music in the UK. She had just heard someone say on the radio that 'with all these Spanish songs out at the moment we've all pretty much got a Spanish GCSE'. With results day tomorrow, we are probably all wishing it were that easy!

However the fact that we're all hearing more Spanish songs can't be a bad thing for language learners. It's certainly a trend that MFL teachers can capitalise on when creating engaging resources. BBC News online recently published an article asking 'Is J Balvin's Mi Gente the new Despacito?'. Watch his video and decide, or share it with students and vote!
