This French reading worksheet offers a fun twist on checking for grammatical mistakes. Ask your class to help solve the mystery of who stole the Crown Jewels by analysing the errors in the alibis of the suspects. The focus is on spotting mistakes in the use of the perfect tense, in a process of elimination.

PS Don't let on, but the answer is text number 2!

This is a nice resource but there are so many grammatical errors in it so be careful.

Hi Sarah. Glad you spotted the errors, but please note that the objective of the resource is for students to identify the thief by finding the only alibi that doesn't contain grammatical errors. They then correct the mistakes in the other alibis.

Used as a relaxation at the end of term. Very much enjoyed by the class.
