Why learn a language? Diamond nine activity

This diamond nine activity is a great way to get students thinking about the benefits of learning a language. Useful for the European Day of Languages, when students are choosing their KS4 options and as a one-off at any time to promote discussion and independent thinking skills.

Sorry to hear that! One of the nine cards is about earning a higher salary – the others include communication skills, understanding other cultures, going on holiday abroad, protecting the brain from aging, the buzz of using a foreign language and the advantage of having a second language when applying for university or for jobs. Subscribers can also adapt the Word document to edit the content of the cards.

Didn't use it. Find the content too much about money earning possibilities in the future hardly anything about what it really gives you to be multilingual.
