The lie detectors
This game is similar to the popular TV show Would I lie to you?, where the teams compete to distinguish between the true and false personal information given by the opposing team.
It would make an excellent ice breaker activity to enable students and teachers to get to know each other at the start of term. However, it can be used flexibly with any language, topic or key stage.
It includes instructions on how to model the game before students play in small groups. Suggested sentence prompts are also provided as examples.
