L'accent circonflexe

Often known to students as 'the hat', the circumflex accent can actually help students decode unfamiliar words when reading. Once they understand the pattern, they can try to work out the meanings of the words provided, without using a dictionary.

I really like this worksheet. It combines pupils having to inspect the word and use ddictionary skills while understanding about the circumflex which they invariably leave off.
