A series of menus inspired by authentic aeroplane fare. Comes with varied activity suggestions for a range of levels, from working out prices through collocation gap-fills to food related idioms.

An extract from the resource:

Level: Elementary – Pre-intermediate (A2-B1)

Language focus: food vocabulary, prices, ordering food, describing food.

Students scan the menus for food words they know, and underline them.  They can then peer-teach any that they know and their fellow students don’t, but they must not mime or draw!

Elicit or teach what on board, V and ’n mean (on the plane/boat; vegetarian; and).

Ask students to sort the food words into healthy and unhealthy

Do the ‘How much do they spend?’ activity.

Do the ‘Containers and quantities’ activity.
