Au restaurant
A set of French food worksheets, based around eating out at a restaurant, that could be used as a complete lesson. This colourful resource starts with students creating a menu based on the pictures of food and drink provided. They then work with a partner to practise restaurant dialogues, using the role play prompts to embed key language.
The level of support can be differentiated for the next task, in which students must say or write the sentences that various customers might be saying at the restaurant, according to the picture prompts. A writing/speaking frame is included to scaffold this activity for students needing more support. Students could also use this to write their own restaurant role play.
Finally, there is a reading worksheet with a choice of four restaurant details to match to each diner, according to their preferences and requirements. Answers are included.
