Parejas famosas
This speaking activity is based on students being given the role of a famous person who is one half of a well-known partnership, for example Homer and Marge Simpson, Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson, Asterix and Obelix etc. The first exercise introduces all the famous duos with a reading and matching task that can be done competitively, in groups.
Students are then given an identity card which gives them the role of one of the famous people, along with some basic information about them in Spanish, for example their nationality, physical description and who they are looking for as a partner. They then have time to prepare the questions they want to ask (examples are provided) in order to find their 'other half'.
