This reading comprehension is designed for year 9 students (or year 8, for those who follow a three-year GCSE course) about to take their options. The texts include a range of opinions as to why different people might choose to continue with their French studies or not. 

The worksheet includes comprehension questions in English, a colour-coding activity to highlight connectives and adjectives, and a writing task. It could be used to stimulate discussion around option choices and the benefits of continuing with a foreign language.

Good resource however this sentence: "bien que je n'aille pas continuer" isn't correct. please amend to "Bien que je ne continue pas..." or "bien que je n'aie pas l'intention de continuer...".

Great - fits in well with studio 3. I will take out the mention of dyslexia though. Why tell pupils they will find something difficult because they are dyslexic? Quite discriminatory in my opinion but otherwise very useful, thanks!
