These worksheets and paired speaking activities will enable students to practise making arrangements to go out in French. Lots of support is given, with key language provided. Students start by looking at the events shown and using the speaking frame to invite their partner to different things. Next, they reconstruct a model dialogue by re-ordering the sentences.
A short writing task uses picture prompts to support students in writing brief texts to invite their friends to join them in different activities, arranging where and when to meet. Students then use a cinema programme to create their own dialogues with a partner, using the phrases provided. Finally, students practise writing longer dialogues in more detail, including a range of questions. Answers are included.
This resource could also be used to practise role-play skills and essential language for the GCSE speaking exam.
