Die Schulfächer
These German worksheets will help students to understand and give opinions of school subjects. They could also be used as a revision booklet or for cover lessons. Students start by drawing pictures of the school subjects to revise the vocabulary before completing some sentence starters to say which they like or don't like.
A speaking activity with a grid to record answers could be used for a group survey on this topic, giving students a chance to practise asking for and giving opinions. There is an odd one out activity and an exercise to sort adjectives as positive, negative or neutral. A second speaking activity encourages students to give reasons for their opinions, using a range of adjectives.
A short reading comprehension is followed by a writing task, giving an opportunity to use and adapt all the phrases from the worksheets.
