ELT teaching resources – American English teaching resources

Britain and America are often described as 'two nations divided by a common language'. We don't want to widen the gap, but we do want to acknowledge diversity! British and American English have long been recognised as distinct varieties. There are, of course, many others, but it is perhaps in American English that the differences with British English are the greatest. For this reason, where resources have been contributed by speakers of American English, or where they have a specific focus on American English, we include an American flag on the right of the resource description.
