La famille de Léa

A French reading activity based on a family tree. Students read Léa’s description of her family and work out which name corresponds to which person in the family, by studying the family tree. Answers are included.

Make sure students understand how a family tree works before they begin! For those students who need extra support, you could do some textual analysis first. For example, circling all the male family words in blue, the female family words in red and all the names in green.  

Once they have completed the activity, students could use it as a stimulus for their own written work.
